Introduction of “Incubapplication”—Works Exhibition of Diploma Course in Fashion Design & Manufacturing
Introduction
With the gradual development of the Macao fashion design industry, more young talents demonstrating passion for fashion are needed to join the industry for its robust development. To encourage youth to fulfill their dreams, the Macao Fashion Gallery specially organized the “Incubapplication”—Works Exhibition of Diploma Course in Fashion Design & Manufacturing to showcase excellent pieces by five local emerging designers.
As the Macao SAR Government has been actively promoting development of the cultural and creative industries in recent years, the Macao Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center co-organized the “Incubapplication”—Works Exhibition of Diploma Course in Fashion Design & Manufacturing to offer a platform to promote creative concepts of a new generation of designers and encourage more Macao youth to join the fashion design industry. The five emerging fashion stars participating in this exhibition are Iris Ding, Hana Leong, Vincente Lam, Jacqueline Lam and Giselle Ma who have won the 1st Overall Winner, the 2nd Overall Winner, the 3rd Overall Winner, the Best Colour Coordination Award and the Best Workmanship Award respectively in the Fashion Design and Manufacturing 2013/2014 Diploma Programme—Graduation Show. The pieces exhibited fully demonstrate their passions for and pursuits of fashion, reflecting the courage to break rules, to imagine in the unlimited space between the heaven and the earth and to fly freely in the sky of fledgling designers. In fact, through this exhibition, the audience can enjoy how these five new fashion stars carry outtheir concepts and how their incorporate their creativity and thoughtful ideas in their designs. A total of 16 works are displayed.
The Diploma Course in Fashion Design & Manufacturing offered by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center teaches students all-round fashion design and manufacturing knowledge.
